  14. Lighthouse Design Ships Diagram! 2, Information Graphics for NeXTSTEP

  16. 27 January, 1993 San Mateo, CA -  Lighthouse Design, Ltd. today announced the
  17. shipment of Diagram! version 2.0, its second revision to NeXTSTEP's best-
  18. selling graphics tool. The new release includes dozens of completely new
  19. features, such as repositionable automated line labels, rotation, a parsable
  20. file format and customizable menus, as well as many more incremental
  21. enhancements.

  23. As NeXTSTEP's best-selling drawing application, Diagram! currently boasts an
  24. installed base of some 5,000 users worldwide. It has won acclaim from a
  25. variety of users in both technical and business environments, and from NeXT
  26. itself: "With Diagram!'s second release, Lighthouse Design brings the same
  27. level of innovation and creativity to business graphics as it brought to

  33. Diagram! 2 is a smart, general-purpose drawing tool, designed for business and
  34. technical professionals. Based on a revolutionary and much-imitated "drag and
  35. drop" drawing metaphor, Diagram! 2 provides users with tools to create and
  36. revise graphics far faster than conventional illustration products. Where
  37. conventional illustration programs are geared for freehand artwork, Diagram!
  38. presents a suite of tools designed instead for information graphics: drawings
  39. and diagrams designed to communicate ideas and information.
